  • The Heart Cafe, a MYO company, will be a permanent feature, serving food and drinks, day to night. 
  • It will host events, like Open Mic Nights and Club meetings.
  • The main hall will be host to local food markets and fairs.
  • The building can be used by members of the community, and groups to meet, collaborate and build relationships.  

perform & play

  • The building will come alive with plays, gigs, film festivals, music festivals and a host of other performances. 
  • You can rent a space to practice your performance, host or attend performance classes for music, dance…

  • You can host or attend classes for art, writing, music, theatre…

Who are we?


Also affectionately known as “THOR”, we are a not-for–profit entity being established under the Companies Act 1931, as a charitable company limited by guarantee. We will lease the Ramsey Courthouse from Ramsey Town Comissioners. Trustees are Tim Baker, Georgie Revill, Chris Penketh, Nigel Watson and Emma Watson. 

Meet the team below. 

Tim Baker, MHK

Tim Baker is MHK for Ayre and Michael. Tim has a strong belief in the importance of community and in ensuring that Ramsey and the North is a vibrant, attractive and inclusive area for all ages and sectors. He is the principal backer of the Ramsey’s PepsiMax Tenpin Bowling Alley and the founder of Ramsey Table Tennis Club, which he chairs. He is also a trustee of Ramsey Town Band.

Trustee, architectural design consultant

Penketh-Millar Architectural Design Consultants were founded in 2006, by Chris Penketh and Chris Millar. Penketh-Millar provide a full range of high quality architectural services within the domestic, industrial and commercial markets.
Although only a relatively young practice, Chris Penketh & Chris Millar have almost 60 years combined knowledge and experience within the local construction industry. They provide honest and accurate advice regarding every project, large or small, while maintaining a strict level of professionalism and client representation.

meghan Kennish
arts & events consultant

Meghan is most likely to be recognised from Ramsey Town Band, an organisation that she and her family have been an integral part of for many years. She is passionate about the Arts and their importance to both community and individual health and well-being. After returning to the Island from the Royal Northern College for Music she is kept busy with two young children. She believes in the importance of community and looks forward to being part of the Ramsey Courthouse team as we seek to meet the needs of all those in the North of the Isle of Man.

Emma Watson
secretary, director of marketing

Emma, a Ramsey Grammar School alumnus, has returned to the island with an MSc International Business and a BSc Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds. She now works as Business Development Manager for Nigel Watson Limited - an aviation consultancy, and is Secretary for Manx Youth Opportunities, a charity seeking to help young people develop their careers.

georgie revill
trustee, director of fundraising

Georgie is the owner and operator of The Cook Shack in Bride - a cookery experience school and private dining venue, the Chairman of the charity SKILS - a Manx Charity for those with learning differences wishing to obtain further education, and the founder of the local MannKind Festival - an annual not-for-profit festival for those with any disability.

nigel watson

Nigel owns and runs Luviair - a private helicopter operator, and Nigel Watson Limited - an aviation and yachting consultancy. He is also the founder of Manx Youth Opportunities - a charity seeking to help young people develop their careers.

kyle withington
design & marketing consultant

Since completing his Masters studies at the University of Leeds, Kyle now heads up the graphic design and animation side of Knotwork, a studio he set up with his friend and business partner Callum Isaac in 2018. Kyle is proud to be an alumni of Ramsey Grammar School, and has created marketing content for many Island initiatives both as a freelancer, and through Knotwork. This includes print and video marketing for multiple musical theatre performances at the Gaiety Theatre, and animation materials for the Isle of Man Department for Education, Sport and Culture.
